@Gerhard Reuter, I just had to tell you I loved reading your comment and story. My family and I are currently going through a huge situation and is heartbreaking. O tried this many years ago when living in Arizona and really loved it. The other day my husband and I had tostadas and I told him about this dish. He never had it and in the next few days he really wanted to try. So I came across this recipe because it seemed so authentic. One thing I do not like is Mexican food that is not authentic. Anyway, I made it step by step, bought him a beer to have with it and he fell in love with it. Thank you for the great recipe. Would not change it anything about it.
