Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Melt the butter in the microwave for 30-45 seconds until completely melted.
Add the melted butter and the sugars to a large mixing bowl and beat for about 15-30 seconds, or until somewhat creamy.
Add the egg and beat until incorporated.
Add the vanilla and the agave and continue beating for 15-20 seconds.
In a separate bowl combine the flour, the baking powder, the baking soda, and the salt and stir together.
Add the flour mix about 1/2 cup at a time, mixing in between, until you have used all of it and the cookie dough is firm, but slightly sticky.
Add the chocolate chips and stir until well combined.
Form tablespoon size balls and place on a baking sheet, about three to a row.
Add a few chocolate chips on top of each and bake for about 10-12 minutes.
Take them out of the oven (they may not look done, but they are) and let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a cooling rack.
Enjoy immediately and store leftovers in a Ziploc or other plastic bag.
