Ingredients

  • 1 Stick of Butter
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 3/4 Cup of Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 Cup of Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon of Vanilla
  • 2 Tablespoons of Agave
  • 1 1/2 - 2 cups of Flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
  • 1 Cup of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Melt the butter in the microwave for 30-45 seconds until completely melted.
  • Add the melted butter and the sugars to a large mixing bowl and beat for about 15-30 seconds, or until somewhat creamy.
  • Add the egg and beat until incorporated.
  • Add the vanilla and the agave and continue beating for 15-20 seconds.
  • In a separate bowl combine the flour, the baking powder, the baking soda, and the salt and stir together.
  • Add the flour mix about 1/2 cup at a time, mixing in between, until you have used all of it and the cookie dough is firm, but slightly sticky.
  • Add the chocolate chips and stir until well combined.
  • Form tablespoon size balls and place on a baking sheet, about three to a row.
  • Add a few chocolate chips on top of each and bake for about 10-12 minutes.
  • Take them out of the oven (they may not look done, but they are) and let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a cooling rack.
  • Enjoy immediately and store leftovers in a Ziploc or other plastic bag.
