Ingredients

For the Creamy Chicken Gravy

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 pounds chicken breast
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp corn starch (to thicken)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric

Topping Choices

  • Pineapple Chunks
  • Shredded Coconut
  • Black Olives
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Chow Mein Noodles
  • Diced bell peppers
  • Chopped Pecans
  • Diced Onions
  • Chopped Celery
  • Diced Jalapeno
  • Diced Tomatoes
  • White Rice Cooked

Instructions

  • Start by adding the chicken and all of the other ingredients except for the milk and the corn starch to a slow cooker, and cook over high heat for 3 hours. 
  • Shred the chicken while still in the slow cooker with a fork, add the corn starch and milk and let it cook for one additional hour. 
  • After an hour, serve over white rice and add the desired ingredients.
